Mahira Khan speaks up against Child Labour

Mahira also asks lawmakers and policy makers to work on poverty alleviation. Poverty leads to neglect and abuse of children. It leads to despondent parents becoming addicted to drugs and sending their children to the streets, exposing the children to all kinds of brutality.

Mahira Khan on Child Labour

The actress Mahira Khan has been open about the upsetting regularity of instances involving kids like Rizwana in rich and well-educated homes.

In a touching video posted to social media, Khan stressed that influential people involved in instances like Rizwana’s are aware that their path to release is frequently paved. Such actions continue to go unnoticed and without consequence. Utilising child labour is morally and ethically repugnant in addition to being against the law.

The actress made a passionate appeal for collective awareness, calling for it to protect the purity of these children’s lives and strengthen the future of the country. Her appeal goes beyond parents who are forced to hire their kids for work because of poor circumstances. No loving parent wants their child to work when that time should be spent learning, having fun, and developing.

Nadia Jamil tweeted in support of Mahira khan saying ‘ Mahira speaks from the heart about the struggles of parents struggling below the poverty line. Instead of exploiting their children we can instead offer them a better life, an education! Mahira also asks lawmakers and policy makers to work on poverty alleviation. Poverty leads to neglect and abuse of children. It leads to despondent parents becoming addicted to drugs and sending their children to the streets, exposing the children to all kinds of brutality.’

Khan’s plea further appeals to the upper classes of society, pushing them to speak out against this injustice and pressuring legislators to adopt protections for young children.
