Elon Musk is one of the most powerful men in the world. He is the most highlighted because of his interactive personality on Twitter, and as well because of his witty remarks on everything! The billionaire is also a considerable influence in the stock market. However, people wonder about his motives for constantly selling Tesla’s shares. Could it be possible that he is thinking of quitting his job?
Last month, Musk sold a total of $9.85 billion in Tesla stock, including the $6.9 billion he sold the week of Nov. 10 and another $1.9 billion he sold on Nov. 15 and Nov. 16. Some of the shares were sold in part to satisfy tax obligations related to an exercise of stock options.
On Nov. 6, Musk asked his 62.5 million Twitter followers about the future of Tesla holdings. Elon on Twitter said: “Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock. Do you support this?”
Elon put in the option for the people to either vote “Yes” or “No” and pledged to abide by the poll results, whichever way it went. Some 3,519,252 people responded, and 57.9% of them voted for “Yes.”
Now with all this information, we can’t help but wonder where is Tesla going? Is it possible that Elon Musk will soon be leaving all work related to the company and moving in an entirely different direction? But that begs another critical question: what about Tesla PI?
There has numerous news about Elon planning to launch his own mobile called the Tesla PI. And this is not it. There has been several other news about things as well. Elon also announced that he would start air commercials.
The commercials will be projected in the sky. There have been a few tests runs on this, but nothing definite has yet been announced. However, we know nothing is impossible with a mind like Elon’s.
Hence, with all the information about the technological advancements that Elon has announced, and all those he has not yet announced, and with him tweeting about quitting, we can’t help but be uncertain the direction Tesla will head on to.
