In the first season of PSL, no one could have possibly predicted what the future would hold. Now, we know it is not possible to predict the future, but in cricket leagues like PSL – one can always take a gander at the possible future. For example, all of us thought Karachi Kings will no doubt be the victorious team. We could not have been more wrong. However, there was one thing that we were not prepared for and it was Lahore Qalandars; and the courage with which they lose every time.
Honestly, if it was anyone else but Fawad Rana – they would have left after the first few seasons. Because really, at this point, you expect Lahore to lose and if they win, you can’t really believe it. A big shout out to all those who support Lahore because really man, it is hard.
Maybe this is perhaps the only reason why we are kind to the guy in our office who supports Lahore, and when every time his team wins, (which has been only once), we let him enjoy the little moments of happiness.
But there is one person who needs to be appreciated more than anyone else, and his name is *drums roll* Fawad Rana.
The man is just too outstanding because even when losing he has a smile on his face. Anyone can support any team, or any player but there is one thing that will stay in common and that is the love every Pakistani has for Fawad Rana.
And of the rarity that you do not like him, or you may know someone who does not like this hulk of a man, here are five reasons why everyone should just love him.

He is cute
While this may not be a reason enough for some people, this is still one of the most genuine reasons to love him. What is love? Love is an abstract concept; one can love anything. You can one day wake up and decide to love a cup or a pen. It does not necessarily have to mean anything, except the fact that you love him. And just like that, because Fawad Rana is cute, you love him. Dekhi hai uski shakal jab haar rahi hoti hai Lahore, and camera zoom hota hai Fawad par aur us shaks ki aik haseen si mushkurahat hoti hai, aur ankhon mein sharmindagi hoti hai. Kesei na karei koi us waqt us sei pyar?

He is brave
To constantly lose at something, and that too with dignity requires bravery, which a lot of people don’t have. And we will be able to prove this to you in a few days, when a champion will lose to an amateur. Believe us when we tell you this – he will not take it lightly. He is not that brave, unlike Fawad Rana who takes all of his losses in a stride, and does not let anything bring him down.

He is an inspiration
Fawad Rana is an inspiration because he knows how to rise back up after every loss. Most people can’t do that. He does not let his team members be affected by the constant losses, rather boosts their morale, and gets them back up. Why else do you think Lahore has been able to score 200+ runs in most of their matches.

There are a lot of things you can learn from this one man, and one of them is the fact that he does not blame anyone for the losses. He will just tell everyone that his team will try harder next time, and strike back like never before, and he does.

He is a superhero
Fawad Rana is no less than a superhero, because of his resilience, dedication, and goodwill to make Pakistan proud makes him special. He does every thing in his power to ensure that the young talent, in Pakistan is found and shaped in a way which will enable them to qualify for national teams.
Fawad Rana is Fawad Rana. He is a man of steel. Us banday ki jitni bhi tareef karoun kam hai kyun kay woh banda hai hi aisa. Uskou dekho tou dil naram hou jata hai aur pyar ajata hai. But really, we wish Fawad and Lahore all the best and hope that they win the PSL this year, but at the same time, we don’t want them to because of our colleague who supports Lahore, we don’t want our colleague to win.
