Memers and their hilarious memes always steal the show. Even if the subject of the meme is famous. It doesn’t matter the memes would be trending more than the topic itself. You all will definitely agree to this that a good meme brightens up the whole mood. Memes take out all the tension from an issue and channel it into humor. This is what happened with the tussle that took place between Nida Kirmani and Meesha Shafi. Ayien jaantay hain kia hua Nida Kirmani vs Meesha Shafi- The Memers Express. The memers always have their own way of telling a story. Trust us that’s a story worth your time.
Like this meme, these memes never fail to disappoint you. Umar Akmal’s tweet caught the attention of the memers and here is what they did to that.
Nida Kirmani, a social activist, recently took it Twitter and shared her thoughts regarding the Coke Studio music casts. Her tweet especially targeted Faris Shafi to which Meesha Shafi responded. This whole debate turned into a façade with a heated argument between the two.
Faris Shafi’s rap may be entertaining but only reinforces this. Rap is an art form of the marginalised, adopted & transformed by folks from the inner city. This is why the rappers like Eva B coming from Lyari are part of a wider tradition. The elite should leave at least this.

This tweet was followed by Meesha Shafi’s tweet ‘ I would love to hear your definition of elite’ bas ye kehnay ki dair thi ar lag gaya post par memers ka rush. Some of the replies made us burst into laughter.

Oh…… that hurts. Many people had the most common e-lite answer to this question.
Not sure. But Netflix keeps pushing it to me. How do I tell them I'm not interested.

Some didn’t get the point of all this argument and started calling it an elite vs elite smackdown. This is not all wrong as we didn’t get the reason behind the issue but we got the memes.

In Pakistan, this happens in almost every house. Par agar ap aisa nahien kartay tau mubarak ho ap he khalis elite hain.

On a serious note, Nida Kirmani’s tweet not only offended Meesha Shafi and Faris Shafi but also many Coke Studio lovers found it very offensive. Music is something that surpasses every border, culture, class and what not. Gana tou koi bhi gaye ya koi bhi sunay is par koi copy rights nahien hain unless ap us ganay ko apna bata kay mashoor kar rahay hoon. There is no elite or ghareeb music nor should be musicians be criticised on something like this.
Moreover, Faris Shah’s rap is really popular among youth. If you have an ear for music then admire it and if you don’t like it then prefer constructive critiquing. When this debate and roasting session was going on, we came across a video of Faris Shah that is the best reply to Nida Kirmani’s tweet.
